SETA-CRM Pensky-Martens Flash Point

The SETA-CRM Pensky-Martens Flash Point is produced under our ISO 17034 UKAS accreditation, ensuring it meets the highest standards as a Certified Reference Material. This hydrocarbon mixture carries certification for Flash Point determination (ASTM D93, IP 34, ISO 2719) and Density measurement (ASTM D4052, IP 365, ISO 12185).

An Interlaboratory Study characterises the reference material, guaranteeing international traceability and lower-than-average uncertainty. Laboratories seeking ISO 17025 compliance will find this cost-effective solution simplifies verification processes.

The Pensky-Martens Certified Reference Material is supplied in a tamper-evident security package with full documentation, including a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). It has a three-year shelf life from the date of manufacture.

ASTM D93-25 Section 10 mandates verification of the apparatus performance using a Certified Reference Material. Section A4.5, allows laboratories running Procedures B and C to use a reference material tested under Procedure A. This added flexibility streamlines the verification process without compromising the quality and integrity of the results. With Seta’s Certified Reference Materials, laboratories have access to robust, reliable materials to ensure compliance across all procedure types with ASTM D93. UKAS Reference Materials Certificate

The Pensky-Martens Closed Cup (PMCC) Flash Point Certified Reference Material offers a highly cost-effective way for laboratories to maintain ISO 17025 compliance. It also serves as a valuable tool for routine monitoring of Pensky-Martens instruments, such as SQC, and for training new personnel.

Its small profile reduces sample wastage and minimises variance between samples. The compact bottle size further lowers the risk of cross-contamination.

The density of this flash point certified reference is also provided with a certified value reported to ASTM D7042.

Certification: The Pensky-Martens Reference Material is supplied with an ISO 33401-compliant certificate, detailing a certified value for each covered test method.
