The SETA-CRM Abel Flash Point 40 is an ISO 17034 UKAS accredited Abel Flash Point Certified Reference Material (CRM) with a nominal flash point value of 40 °C, designed for the verification of Abel Flash Point testers operating in accordance with IP 170, ISO 13736 and BS 2000-170.
Manufactured by Stanhope-Seta under the requirements of ISO 33405, with documentation compliant to ISO 33401, this hydrocarbon reference material has been characterised using an interlaboratory comparison procedure as defined in IP 170 Appendix D1. The Abel Flash Point Certified Reference Material provides laboratories with a reliable and traceable solution for routine instrument verification.
The CRM supports the annual verification requirements specified within IP 170 Appendix D1, helping laboratories maintain confidence in instrument performance while supporting ISO 17025 quality systems and audit requirements.
Each 100 mL bottle is supplied as a pack of 3 with an ISO 17034 certificate, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and has a two-year shelf life from the date of manufacture.

The SETA-CRM range is designed to support routine instrument verification and ongoing performance monitoring. Each ISO 17034 Certified Reference Material is supplied with a certified value, measurement uncertainty, coverage factor and method limits, providing laboratories with the information needed to support ISO 17025 quality systems and demonstrate measurement traceability.
The 100 mL container is supplied with 85-95% ullage, meeting the requirements of IP 170 Section 8.2 and ensuring suitability for routine verification procedures.
